Simon Whitlock won the PDC Televised Performance of the Year award at the annual dinner on Monday evening at The Dorchester.
The world number three was rewarded for his sensational fightback against Jamie Caven in the European Championship, when he came back from 9-3 down to win 10-9 before going on to reach the final.
“I’m delighted to pick up this award,” said the Australian ace.
“I didn’t expect to win it because there has been some brilliant performances on TV this year. The win against Jamie was a very special one for me and an important one as I had been on the end of unlikely comebacks in the past.
“It’s great that it has been chosen as the best performance and I hope I can produce some more great moments in the year ahead.”
